Addressing it requires technical rigor, critical reflection, and collective responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite <strong>researchers, security experts, social scientists, policymakers, technologists, journalists, activists, and engaged citizens<\/strong> to contribute to this workshop. Contributions may take the form of empirical research, technical prototypes, case studies, conceptual reflections, or critical perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our goal is not only to analyze the automation of the disinformation lifecycle, but also to create a space for <strong>open, constructive dialogue across disciplines and communities<\/strong>. We seek contributions that challenge assumptions, bridge technical and societal viewpoints, and help shape responsible responses to AI-driven manipulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us in building a forum that sparks meaningful exchange, fosters collaboration, and generates momentum that extends far beyond the workshop itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s move from awareness to action \u2014 together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Motivation \/ Introduction<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Generative AI systems are transforming how information is created, distributed, and consumed. While these technologies offer powerful capabilities for communication and creativity, they also significantly lower the barrier for producing <strong>targeted, scalable, and convincing disinformation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding this shift is essential for safeguarding <strong>democratic processes, public discourse, and societal trust<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Context and Domain<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop examines how <strong>AI reshapes the disinformation lifecycle (kill chain)<\/strong> \u2014 from reconnaissance and narrative design to automated content generation, distribution, and adaptation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics span multiple disciplines, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Computer Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cybersecurity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Human\u2013Computer Interaction (HCI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Computing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media Studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ethics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Law and Policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop will explore how adversaries leverage AI models to produce <strong>synthetic text, audio, images, and video at unprecedented scale<\/strong>, as well as how defenders can detect, analyze, and mitigate these threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
